Job Listings
The Spokane County Bar Association (“SCBA”) serves solely as a distribution platform for job announcements submitted by external employers. Under RCW 49.58.110, a “posting” includes any solicitation for a specific available position, directly by an employer or indirectly through a third party. Employers submitting job postings for publication are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with the statutory disclosure requirements under RCW 49.58.110, including wage or salary information, benefits, and other compensation. SCBA does not review, verify, or validate employer submitted content.
Any person may provide written notice to an employer alleging that posting is noncompliant. If the employer elects to cure, it must contact SCBA with a written demand to correct or remove the posting. Upon receipt of such a demand, SCBA will remove or correct the posting within five business days. SCBA disclaims responsibility for employer compliance with applicable law and assumes no liability arising from employer submitted content. Employers should consult legal counsel regarding their obligations under RCW 49.58.110.
