Information for Attorneys
The Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) is a legal assistance program of the Spokane County Bar Association. The VLP recruits volunteer attorneys to provide free legal counsel and representation in civil matters (non-criminal) to low-income individuals with cases in Spokane and Lincoln Counties. It is funded primarily by a grant from the Legal Foundation of Washington and contributions from local attorneys.
It is the mission of the Spokane County Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program (VLP) to provide select legal services to low-income residents of Spokane County who may otherwise be denied adequate representation or access to the civil justice system, and to encourage local attorneys to fulfill their duty to provide pro bono services.
