The Spokane County Bar Association (SCBA) is pleased to announce the results of its 2010 Bar Poll as well as the report of the SCBA Judicial Evaluation Panel for those candidates who have asked to be considered for appointment to the vacated position on Department 2 of the Spokane County Superior Court. The seat became available with the retirement of Judge Neal Q. Rielly. The Bar Poll and Judicial Evaluation Panel process was conducted at the request of Governor Gregoire who will make the appointment. Fifth Annual Scholarship Award

The Spokane County Bar Association Diversity Section is seeking applicants for our Fifth Annual Scholarship Award to a Gonzaga law student who intends to stay in the Spokane area to further issues of diversity within Spokane’s legal community. The Spokane County Bar Association’s Diversity Section is committed to promoting inclusiveness through ongoing efforts focusing on recruitment and retention of attorneys of color and diverse ethnic background. SCBA Online Lawyer Referral Service - The Board of Trustees of the Spokane County Bar Association is pleased to announce the creation of a new Online Lawyer Referral Service. The purpose of this service is to provide additional advertising opportunities for members of the Spokane County Bar Association while at the same time providing the residents of Spokane County with additional resources in finding an attorney who can help them with their legal matters. The SCBA Online Lawyer Referral Service is available to any member of the Spokane County Bar Association in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association who carries malpractice insurance coverage of minimums set by the SCBA. Courthouse ID Badge Renewal - The 2008 - 2009 Courthouse ID Badges expired on August 31, 2009. In order to re-activate your badge you must submit the $50.00 annual fee and a completed Renewal Form.

Family Law Mediators List Compiled - The Alternative Dispute Resolution Section has compiled their list of Family Law Mediators as required by the new rule, 94.04(a)(12), which took effect Friday, September 1, 2006. Applications are also still being accepted. See below for the links to the application and the new list. This list is created and compiled by the ADR Section of the SCBA and is not a product of the Spokane County Bar Association.
